NEXACLOUD / COMPARE

NexaCloud vs Vercel.

An honest comparison for people who mostly publish static sites.

Short answer: choose Vercel if you need server-side rendering, serverless functions or per-pull-request previews. Choose NexaCloud if you publish static sites and want a free HTTPS address, plain limits and a simple GitHub Actions workflow.

Where Vercel is stronger.

Vercel is the platform built by the creators of Next.js and supports server-side rendering, serverless and edge functions, preview URLs for every branch and pull request, team features and analytics. If your project depends on any of these today, Vercel is the right tool.

Where NexaCloud fits.

If your site is a build output of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, you do not need a server platform. NexaCloud keeps the workflow small: one workflow file in your repository, a token per project, a free HTTPS address and limits written in plain words. When you hit the free deploy limit you see exactly how long to wait, and upgrading lifts it immediately.

Moving a static site from Vercel.

  1. Create a free NexaCloud account and a project.
  2. Add the NEXACLOUD_TOKEN secret and the generated workflow to your repository.
  3. Push, then check name.nexaclouds.online. Your Vercel project keeps running until you remove it.

See the documentation for limits and the Vite and React guide.
